Our office at Ews 367 in Vaishali Nagar, Bhilai, is where we handle the engineering consultancy work. It’s a residential neighborhood in the Durg district, so the office is part of a regular street where kids play and neighbors talk over their fences. Chattisgarh Engg Consultant isn't a massive firm with a lobby and a fountain. It’s a workspace filled with blueprints, rulers, and a few heavy-duty computers for the design stuff. We often have rolls of paper leaning against the walls and stacks of technical books that we’ve had since our college days. It’s a bit cramped when everyone is in at the same time, but we make it work. The fan overhead hums pretty loudly, but you get used to it after ten minutes. We spend a lot of time discussing projects and looking at site photos. Being in Bhilai, we are close to a lot of industrial activity, so we are often out on-site and then back here to do the calculations. We don’t have a dedicated receptionist, so if the bell rings, whoever is closest to the door gets it. It’s a very informal atmosphere, but we take the engineering side of things seriously. It’s just a local office where we put in the hours and try to solve the problems that come across our desks. There’s no corporate gloss here, just some engineers doing their thing in a quiet corner of Vaishali Nagar.
