Our place is out in the Hathkkhoj Industrial Area. If you’ve ever been out this way, you know it’s mostly just factories and trucks everywhere. Bhilai Engineering Corporation has been operating from this spot for quite some time now. It’s not the cleanest environment, but that’s just how it is when you’re dealing with engineering work and heavy machinery. There is always the sound of something being cut or welded in the background. We spend most of our time out on the floor or sitting in the small office area trying to keep up with the schedules. The dust gets on everything, no matter how much we sweep. It’s a tough kind of job, and the guys here work hard. We don’t really have a lobby for visitors, just a gate and the workspace. Most of the people we deal with are other businesses in the same sector, so they understand the grit and the noise. We started small and just kept adding bits and pieces to the shop as we needed them. It’s a practical setup. We make sure things are built right and sent out on time. Sometimes the power goes out or a machine breaks down, and we have to scramble to fix it. That’s just life in an industrial zone. We’ve been part of this community for years, and most of the workers live nearby in the surrounding quarters.
