Our place, Vel College Of Education & Training Institution, is situated on New Dharapuram Road in the Pulliyam Watti area of Dindigul, specifically near Palani. It’s a bit of a mouthful to say the whole address, but most locals just know us as the education college on the road to Dharapuram. We focus on training people who want to become teachers. The building isn't very new, but it serves our purpose well enough for the daily classes and workshops. Being in Tamil Nadu, we get a lot of students from the surrounding villages who are looking to get a stable career in teaching. The daily routine is quite set; we start in the morning and go through the various training modules. It’s not a fancy setup with air conditioning everywhere, but we have enough space for everyone to sit and learn. Sometimes the bus schedules make it hard for students to arrive exactly on time, so we are a bit flexible with that. The staff here is very practical and we don't use a lot of big words or marketing talk. We just want to make sure the trainees know how to manage a classroom and handle the school subjects. You can find us easily if you follow the main road out of Palani towards Dindigul. It’s a quiet enough area most of the time, which is good for studying. We just take things one day at a time here and focus on the basics of teacher training.
