Shannaga Farmer Producer Company Limited

We're located at house number 31 in the Diphupar area, specifically C-Khel in Dimapur. It’s a pretty busy part of town. Shannaga started because a few of us farmers wanted to stop doing everything alone. It’s hard to get things done when you’re just one person. Now we’ve got this company set up. We handle a lot of different things related to farming. Dimapur is a good spot because it’s a hub, but the work is still tough. We spend a lot of time checking on crops and talking to the other members. Our office isn't anything special, just a room where we keep our papers and meet. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in Nagaland. We just want to make sure the folks in our group are doing okay. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to work by candlelight to finish the paperwork. That’s just life here. We deal with whatever comes our way. The people in C-Khel know where we are if they need us. We don't do much advertising. Word of mouth works better for us anyway. We focus on the practical side of things, like getting fertilizer or finding a truck for the harvest. It’s honest work. We aren't looking for awards or anything like that. We just want to keep the farm going and support our families. It takes a lot of effort every day, but we enjoy being part of the community.
