S.Tiger Bricks Industry

If you head down Mizoram Road in Lailapur, you can’t really miss us because we’re right near the NH-54. Being that close to the national highway means there is never a moment of silence. Big trucks are rumbling past at all hours of the night. We started S.Tiger Bricks Industry because there was a lot of building happening around here and people needed materials. It’s a tough business, honestly. You’re always at the mercy of the weather. When it’s dry, we’re working until our backs ache. When the monsoon hits, everything just kind of grinds to a halt and we wait it out. Our office is just a small building with a tin roof, and it gets incredibly loud when it rains. We don’t have any fancy titles here; we all just do whatever needs doing, whether that’s loading a truck or fixing a broken wheel. It’s just me and a few local guys who have been with us since the start. We don't try to act like we’re some big corporation. We’re just a local brick yard trying to make a living in Lailapur. People around here know where to find us if they need a load of bricks for a wall or a new house. We just keep things simple and try to stay out of the way of the highway traffic as much as we can.
