Nirmilas Kitchen

Nirmilas Kitchen is tucked away at No. 10 in the Ashoknagar area of Hubli. We are quite close to the old railway gate, so you can hear the trains passing by if it is quiet enough in the morning. Being in Ashoknagar means we see a lot of local residents going about their day. Our kitchen is where everything happens. We spend many hours every day prepping ingredients and getting the stoves going. It is a small team here, and we all know what needs to be done without talking too much about it. The smell of the food usually fills up the space pretty quickly. Some days are much busier than others, and on those days, the kitchen gets really hot and a bit loud with all the clinking of plates and spoons. We don't have a big corporate setup or anything like that. It is just a straightforward place where we focus on the cooking. People from around the neighborhood often stop by to see what we have ready. We keep the place clean and just do our thing. Hubli is a busy city, but our corner feels like home to us. We just keep our heads down and work. There is always something to clean or a pot that needs watching. It’s a simple life, but we stay busy from the morning until we close up for the night.
