About Gaytri International School – Education in Dhar
Driving down Bagi Mandu Road, you eventually run into Gaytri International School. It’s right there in Mandu, which is part of Dhar district, 454010. The building sits on a bit of a dry patch of land, and we see a lot of tractors and bikes passing by throughout the day. The school isn't trying to look like a five-star hotel. We have basic classrooms with benches that have been scratched by students' pencils over the terms. Every morning, the wind blows a bit of dust into the hallways, so someone is always sweeping. The teachers come in from different parts of the district, and we usually start the day by checking if everyone’s water bottles are filled. It’s pretty quiet during the lessons, but once the bell rings for the interval, it’s total chaos for twenty minutes. We’ve got a small area where kids run around, and though it’s not a professional sports field, they seem to make it work. Most of the parents work nearby, so we see them stopping by on their motorcycles if they need to drop something off for their kid. There isn't a receptionist in a uniform waiting to greet you. Usually, you just walk in and find whoever isn't in a class at the moment. It is a very practical sort of place, focused on the books and the daily routine of getting through the syllabus without any extra fuss or complication.
