I have been working as a broker here on Durga Mandir Road in Hirapur for quite some time. My office is near the Ahiv Mandir, which makes it easy for people to find me when they are looking for a place or trying to sell something in Dhanbad. It is not a big corporate office with glass walls; it’s just a simple room with a desk, a few chairs, and a lot of registers where I keep track of things. My day is mostly spent on the phone or walking around the neighborhood to look at different properties and plots. People come in with all sorts of questions about land and houses in the Hirapur area. I try to keep things straightforward and honest with them because news travels fast in a place like this. The walls have some maps pinned up, and there’s always a glass of water on the desk for whoever walks in from the heat outside. The traffic on Durga Mandir Road can be quite loud, so we usually have to talk a bit louder to be heard over the horns. I don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just me and a couple of guys who help out with the paperwork. We know the streets around here very well and who is selling what. It’s hard work, especially in the summer, but it keeps us busy and connected to the community.
