Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith

It is pretty quiet out here in Ramakrishna Nagar. Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith has been at this P O Vidyapeeth address for many years. It's a large area to look after, and we stay busy with the daily schedule. The buildings are old but they hold up well enough against the weather. We start early in the morning when the sun is just coming up. There’s a lot of walking involved because the place is spread out. You see the students moving between the halls and the grounds all day long. It isn't like those modern schools with glass walls. It feels more grounded and simple. We deal with the usual stuff like leaky taps or keeping the dust off the books. Life here follows a rhythm that hasn't changed much. The mail comes to the PO box and we sort it out. Visitors sometimes get lost finding the specific gate in Ramakrishna Nagar, but they eventually make it. It’s a bit of a walk from the main transport links, which keeps it peaceful I suppose. We don't have a lot of bells and whistles. It’s just the rooms, the teachers, and the students trying to learn something. The trees provide good shade when it gets hot in the summer months. It’s a plain sort of life but it works for us. Everyone knows everyone else around here.
