Hirakhan Farmer Producer Company Limited

We are over here in Chhamunda, which is a small part of Sambalpur. Our office is at Dutika Naik’s place. It is not a big fancy building, just a regular spot where we handle things for Hirakhan Farmer Producer Company Limited. Most days involve farmers coming by from around the village to talk about what they are growing. We deal with the usual stuff you find in a rural area like this. The roads get a bit dusty in the summer and muddy when the rain hits, but we stay busy. People know where to find us because everyone knows Dutika. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It is just a group of us trying to get the work done. The 768105 area is quiet but there is always something happening with the crops. We spend time looking at seeds or figuring out the transport for the harvests. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit outside and talk. It is a simple way of running things. We don't use a lot of big words or complicated plans. Mostly, we just focus on what needs to happen today so the farmers can get their work finished. Being in Sambalpur means we are tied to the seasons. When it is time to sow, everyone is out in the fields, and when it is time to reap, the office gets very crowded. That is how it goes for us.
