Vijay Mini Tempo Operator

You’ll find my shop at S/2 in the Community Centre, right in Mayapuri Industrial Area Phase I. I’ve been operating mini tempos out of this spot for a long time now. Mayapuri is a loud, busy place with lots of grease and metal, so we fit right in. The shop is small, mostly just a place to keep the keys and take some notes on who needs a delivery. I started this because I had a tempo and people needed things moved around the industrial estate. It’s not a big company. It is just me and a couple of drivers who know these streets well. We don't have a website or a marketing person. We just have our phone numbers painted on the back of the vehicles. Most of our work comes from the factories nearby. We move parts, scrap, and whatever else fits in the back. It’s hard work and the traffic in Phase I can be a nightmare sometimes. We don't promise anything fancy. We just show up, load the stuff, and drive it where it needs to go. It’s a simple life and a simple business. We know the tea stall guys and the other mechanics around here. It’s home for us. We just keep the engines running and the loads moving every day, even when it rains or the traffic gets completely stuck. It’s not easy, but it’s what we do and we’ve been doing it for years.
