Syndicate Roadlines

We are located in the Kohinoor Building, rooms 15 and 16, right in the Fatehpuri area. Syndicate Roadlines has been here for years, through all the changes in the neighborhood. Fatehpuri is always crowded, and getting trucks in and out is a real challenge sometimes. Our office is up a flight of stairs that are a bit narrow. Inside, it smells like old paper and tea. We spend our days on the phone, talking to clients and checking where the drivers are. It’s a lot of coordinating and hoping the weather stays clear. We have some old maps pinned to the walls that have been there since we started. It’s a family-run sort of place, even if the name sounds formal. We don't wear suits or have big meetings. We just sit around the table and figure out the best way to get a load to its destination. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to work by candlelight for a bit. It’s just part of being in this building. We know the other tenants well, and we usually share a meal during the lunch break. It’s not a fancy operation, but we know the roads and we know the business. We just keep moving, one day at a time, from these two rooms in Kohinoor. It is a noisy, busy place but we wouldn't want to be anywhere else right now.
