You can find us right in the Main Marble Market over in Mangol Pur Kalan. Shree Ji Gwalior & Kota Stone is tucked in among a lot of other stone shops and businesses. It’s a very busy place, especially in the early mornings when the new shipments arrive on the big trucks. We specialize in Gwalior and Kota stones, so we have piles of those slabs stacked up everywhere in our space. The ground is usually covered in white or grey dust from the stones being moved and loaded. It is a loud environment with trucks reversing and people shouting orders, but we like the energy of the market. We don't have a fancy office; just a small corner where we sit with a ledger and a phone to handle the daily business. Most people who come here are looking for durable stone for their courtyards or hallways. We show them the different thicknesses and finishes we have on hand at that time. Sometimes the Kota stone is a bit rough, other times it’s smoother, it just depends on the batch we got from the supplier. We’ve been in Mangol Pur Kalan for years and know most of the other shop owners around here. It’s a tight-knit place despite all the chaos of the daily trade. We just keep our heads down and focus on getting the right stones to the people who need them for their buildings.
