Sharma Packers & Movers is at Krishna Nagar Shop No C 1/10, Lal Quarter Main Road. We’ve been here for a good while now. Most days we're just busy with rolls of tape and piles of cardboard boxes. Lal Quarter Main Road gets really crowded in the afternoons, so getting the trucks in and out takes a bit of work and patience. My brother and I usually handle the phone calls while the boys are out loading stuff for a move. It’s not fancy. Just a small shop with enough space for some packing material and a desk that’s always covered in receipts and half-empty water bottles. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit from our front door. People come in asking for prices, or sometimes just for directions since we're right on the main road. Packing up a whole house is messy work. There’s always bubble wrap everywhere and the sound of tape dispensers going off all day. Sometimes the tea stall next door brings over a couple of cups when it’s finally quiet. We don't have a big fancy office with air conditioning or anything like that. Just the fans going and some old chairs for people to sit on. Most of our day is spent making sure the trucks are loaded right so things don't break on the way. It's honest work, even if it gets tiring when the weather is hot. We just keep things moving one box at a time. The shop stays open until late usually, especially when a big shipment is coming in or going out. It’s just how things go for us here.
