About S. M. Toughened Glass – Building & Construction Material in Delhi
S. M. Toughened Glass is tucked away in Gali No.9, which people around here call Pipal Wali Gali, in Samaipur. It’s a narrow street, so getting large trucks in and out with the glass can be a bit of a challenge sometimes. You have to be careful with the bikes and people walking by when we are unloading. The shop floor is usually covered in some level of dust because that is just the nature of working with toughened glass. We have our machines set up and they run most of the day. It’s not a quiet place by any means. There is always the sound of grinding or the hum of the furnace going. We’ve been in Samaipur for a bit and we know most of the guys in the neighboring galis. The work is heavy and you have to be steady with your hands. We don't go for anything fancy here; the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are too busy to worry about that. We just focus on getting the glass pieces ready as they are ordered. In the evenings, the street gets even more crowded with people heading home. We usually stay until the last bit of work is finished for the night. It’s a regular, honest day of work in a part of town that never really slows down. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
