Our office is at number 14 on Tilpat Road in Sarai Khwaja. Being in the moving business means we spend most of our time at other people's houses or offices rather than in our own. We spend our days packing up belongings, wrapping furniture in blankets, and lugging heavy boxes down flights of stairs. It is physically demanding work and you definitely feel it in your back at the end of the week. We use a lot of bubble wrap and tape, and our vans are always out on the road. The office is mostly for storing our packing materials and doing the basic billing work. People call us when they are stressed about moving, and we just try to get their stuff from the old place to the new one without breaking anything. Sometimes things get tricky, like trying to fit a large sofa through a narrow doorway or dealing with an elevator that stops working mid-job. We don't have a corporate script; we just talk to people like normal and try to help them out. It’s a messy business sometimes, with cardboard scraps everywhere and constant lifting, but it’s what we do. We’ve been around the neighborhood long enough that people recognize our trucks. We just take it one move at a time and try to keep things simple and honest for everyone involved in the process.
