R P Transporters

If you come down to Okhla Phase 2, you will find our place among all the other industrial units. R P Transporters has been around this part of Delhi for a while, and it is a busy spot to be in. We mostly work with the factories and warehouses nearby, moving their products out to different parts of the country. The yard is usually full of trucks being loaded or unloaded, and there is always the sound of engines running. We have a small office on-site where we keep track of all the manifests and driver logs. It’s a dusty environment and your clothes usually end up smelling like diesel by the end of the day. We don't really have a sales team or anything like that; we just talk to the people who walk in or call us up. Managing the fleet is the biggest job, making sure every vehicle is fit for the road and the drivers are ready to go. We have had our share of ups and downs, like when parts are hard to find or when the fuel prices go up suddenly. It’s just the nature of the business. We focus on the practical side of things, like making sure the ropes are tight and the tarps are secure before a truck leaves the gate. It is a basic, no-nonsense kind of operation that keeps us busy from dawn till dusk.
