Setting up R B Yadav Transport at A/7 in Uttam Nagar was a big step for us. This area is always buzzing, and being in the transport business here means you are always on your toes. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to drivers and checking on where the loads are. The streets around here can be tight, so getting the bigger vehicles in and out takes some real skill. It is mostly about moving household goods or commercial items for people who are shifting or sending stock out. We have a small crew and we all pretty much do a bit of everything, from answering the door to checking the oil in the trucks. It isn't a glamorous life, there is a lot of grease and paperwork involved, and the hours are often quite long. You start early in the morning before the sun is even up properly to beat the worst of the city traffic. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot since we started, but the need to move stuff from one place to another never goes away. We just focus on getting the job done and keeping the trucks in decent shape so they don't break down on the highway. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday, and sometimes even Sundays if there is a big rush or someone needs to move their house urgently.
