Orient Ceramics And Industries Ltd, or Orient Tiles as many people call us, is based in New Delhi. Specifically, we are over at Ashutosh’s place, c/o A. R. Mishra, at Flat 27-A in Pkt D. These are the Sfs Flats in Kondli Ghroli, out in Mayur Vihar Phase III. Dealing with tiles is what we do every day. It’s a bit of a heavy job because boxes of ceramics are no joke to move around. We spend a lot of our time just organizing the stock and talking to people who come by looking to fix up their floors. Mayur Vihar-29 is a busy area, and being in a residential pocket like Pkt D means we see a lot of local life. It’s not some big, shiny corporate office. It’s more of a practical space where we handle the business. Some days are slow and we just sit around checking the inventory, and other days it’s a bit of a scramble when a new delivery arrives. We try to keep things simple. You won't find any fancy sales talk here. If you need tiles, we show you what we have in the flat and that’s about it. The neighborhood has changed quite a bit since we started, but we are still here in the same spot. It’s a bit of a maze to find the right flat sometimes, but once you’re here, it’s fine.
