Laxmi Nagar is one of those places in Delhi that never sleeps. Our office is at H. No. : D-135A, on the third floor. It is in Street 6, which can be a real struggle to navigate if you have a big vehicle. The stairs up to the third floor are a bit narrow. We always warn people before they come over for the first time. This is where we run the Nitco Tiles Ltd branch. It is a typical Delhi setup with lots of files and samples crammed into a small space. The noise from the street is always there. You stop noticing it after an hour or two. We spend most of the day coordinating with different sites across the city. The heat in Laxmi Nagar during June is brutal. We keep the work going anyway. We do not have a corporate feel here at all. It is just a group of us trying to manage the orders and make sure the right tiles get to the right people. Sometimes the metro is the only way to get around quickly because of the traffic. We talk to a lot of local residents who are fixing up their old apartments. We show them the catalogs and explain the different sizes of tiles. It is basic, honest work. There is no fluff or fancy talk. We just handle the business from this small spot in East Delhi. It gets crowded with samples.
