Nanak Earth Movers

It's just us here at house number 255 on Bhati Mines Road. Since we arrived in Dera Village quite a while back, we've stayed right near the PNB Bank so we're easy to find. Heavy machines take up most of our time. Earth moving always involves some dirt that needs shifting or a hole that needs digging somewhere around the mines. This area gets a bit dusty, but we are used to it by now. Don't expect anything fancy at the shop; it is just a spot for equipment and getting ready for the day. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, especially when the rains come and everything turns to mud, but we manage to keep going anyway. Knowing most people around here is just part of living in a small village. If you pass the bank, our spot will be right there. Because we spend most of our time out on sites, the office stays quiet unless someone is fixing a part. This is honest work that keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down. Our team is small, just a few of us who know how to handle the loaders and backhoes without making a mess. Basically, our weeks are spent moving from one plot to another. It can be hard work but it is what we do for a living.
