If you head down Sevadham Road in the Mandoli Industrial Area, you will find us at Plot No. 1110. Shalimar Earth Moving Spares is basically just a big room full of heavy metal parts and shelves that go all the way to the ceiling. We have everything from small bolts to huge tracks for diggers. It is a bit of a maze inside, but we know exactly where every single piece is kept. The phone rings a lot with people asking if we have some obscure part for an old machine. Most of the time we do, but sometimes we have to go digging through the crates in the back. It’s a bit dirty and greasy here, which is expected when you deal with earth-moving equipment. We don't really have a showroom; people just come to the counter, tell us what they need, and we go find it. The industrial area can be a bit chaotic with all the noise and the narrow roads, but it’s where we need to be. Sometimes we spend the whole afternoon just counting stock to make sure the inventory is right. It’s not the most exciting job, but it is important for the guys out there on the construction sites. We just try to be helpful and get people the right parts so they can get back to work. It's a long day usually, but we get things done eventually.
