Madan Machinery Stores is located at 78-79 Shardhanand Marg, which most people around here just call G.B. Road. It’s a very old part of the city, and our shop has been here for a long time. We have a lot of space across those two numbers, but even then, it’s filled up with machinery and spare parts. G.B. Road is always hectic. There are trucks, rickshaws, and people everywhere. It’s not the easiest place to park, that’s for sure. We sell all kinds of machinery. The shop is a bit dark and smells like grease and old metal, which is how a real machinery store should be. We aren't interested in being some high-end retail outlet. We’re a place where workers and contractors come to get their equipment. My family has been running this for years. We’ve seen the buildings around us get older while the city gets busier. We don’t spend money on marketing or social media. If people need machinery, they usually know to come to Shardhanand Marg. It’s a lot of hard work, especially moving the heavy stuff around. We just keep things simple and focus on what’s in front of us. It’s a basic, functional business. We open early and close late, just like everyone else on this street. It’s just how we do things here. We are proud of our history on G.B. Road.
