Link Shipping

You can find Link Shipping over at Salarpur Gate in Bhatta Colony, Sector No 82, near the Delhi G P O area. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here sometimes, but it’s where we do our business. We focus on shipping matters, which involves a lot of coordinating with different ports and transport hubs. The office isn't much to look at, just some desks and a lot of maps and schedules on the walls. We spend our days talking to drivers and checking on the status of containers. It’s a lot of waiting around for news and then a sudden rush when a shipment arrives. The weather in Delhi can make things tough, especially the heat in the summer months, but we just get on with it. We have a few regular clients who have been using us for a long time. It’s a small group of us working here, so we all know each other’s business. We don't have any big corporate manuals; we just use common sense and try to keep things moving. Shipping is a messy business with a lot of moving parts. Sometimes things go wrong, and we just have to fix it the best we can. It’s practical work for practical people. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to get these boxes to where they need to go. Every day is different, and that keeps us on our toes in Sector 82.
