Laxmi Marbles

Laxmi Marbles is right in the middle of the DSIIDC M 26 sector 2 Industrial area in East Patel Nagar. It is a noisy place, surrounded by other factories and workshops. Being in an industrial zone means we deal with a lot of dust and the constant sound of machinery next door. We keep our marble stocks arranged in the main shed. Some of the pieces have been there for a bit, waiting for the right person to come along. We spend a lot of time just moving things so we can get to the stuff at the bottom of the pile. It is hard work on the back. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. If you show up, you’ll probably find us covered in white dust from the cutters. The tea stall around the corner is where we usually end up for breaks. Our address is easy to find if you know the sector, but the roads can be rough on the trucks. We’ve seen a lot of businesses come and go in East Patel Nagar over the years. We just keep our heads down and handle the stone that comes in. Every slab is different, so it takes a bit of looking to find what fits. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do every day. There’s no point in making it sound like something it isn't.
