We are located at 152, Katra Baryan, right in the heart of Chandni Chowk. Our shop is called Kapoor Paints & Chemical Co. If you know Chandni Chowk, you know how crowded and lively it is. We’ve been in Katra Baryan for many years, and we’ve seen the market change so much. Our building is old, like most things around here, and it has a lot of character. We sell paints and various chemicals to people who come from all over the city. It’s a tight space, filled to the ceiling with cans and bottles. We have to be very organized to find anything. The noise from the street is constant, but we don’t even notice it anymore. We aren’t a modern, polished store. We’re a traditional Chandni Chowk business. My family and a few helpers run the place. We drink a lot of tea and talk to the other shopkeepers nearby. It’s a community here at Katra Baryan. Kapoor Paints & Chemical Co. is a name that’s been around for a long time. We don’t have a website or fancy ads. People just know where we are and what we sell. It’s a simple way of doing business, based on being here every day at 152. We open up early and stay until the market starts to quiet down. It’s hard work, but it’s our life. We wouldn't want to be anywhere else but this corner of the market.
