Jai Baba Durga Nath Paint & Chemical

Our shop, Jai Baba Durga Nath Paint & Chemical, is situated on Najafgarh Road, right near Nangloi Chowk. It’s a very busy part of the city, and the air is usually full of dust and exhaust from the traffic. We’ve got a pretty big collection of paint cans and chemical containers crammed into our space. It’s not the most beautiful shop you’ll ever see, and it often smells quite strongly of thinners and solvents. We don't have a showroom with fancy displays. It’s more of a warehouse feel where everything is stacked up to the ceiling. If you need something, you usually have to wait a minute while we go climb a ladder or move some boxes to find the right color or grade. We’ve been serving the local painters and contractors around here for years. They know we don't put on any airs or try to act like a big corporation. We just provide what they need for their jobs. Sometimes we get a bit messy with the mixing, and there are paint splatters on the floor that have been there since the day we opened. It’s a practical place for practical people. We don't do much in the way of sales pitches. We just tell you what we have and what it costs. It’s a straightforward way to run a business, and it seems to suit the area. Most of our day is spent unloading trucks or helping customers load up their transport.
