Our shop is number 4 in Vats Market, right in the Pitam Pura area near Shiva Market. Kapoor Float Glass Pvt. Ltd. has been around this neighborhood for quite a few years. We deal mostly in large sheets of float glass and different types of mirrors. The shop is pretty utilitarian. We have heavy racks designed to hold the weight of the glass safely. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when we get new stock in, and you have to be careful moving around so you don't bump into anything. We don’t have a fancy reception area; customers usually just walk straight into the work area to tell us what they need. We give them a price and tell them when it will be ready. It’s an honest living and we’ve built some good relationships with the other shopkeepers in the market over the years. When the evening comes and we start cleaning up the glass scraps, we feel good about the day’s work. We just aim to get the glass cut right and keep the business going as usual.
