If you’ve ever been to the Marble Market in Mangolpur Kalan, you know how chaotic it can get on any given Tuesday. Jain Marbles & Granites is at Plot No. 290, right in the middle of all that action. It’s a tight spot, like most places in this market. We share the road with dozens of other vendors, so it’s a constant dance of cranes and flatbeds. Every morning starts the same way, opening up and checking what’s left from the day before. The dust in Mangolpur is something else; it settles on everything within minutes. We spend a good chunk of the morning just hosing things down so the colors show through. There’s no air conditioning here, just the breeze if we're lucky. We focus on the marble and the granite, moving pieces back and forth for people who walk in. Most folks who come by are local builders or families looking for something for their floors. We don't have a fancy showroom with lights and mirrors. It’s just slabs leaned up against each other in the yard. You have to walk through the rows to see what’s there. It’s a bit cramped, and you might get your shoes a little dirty, but that’s the reality of a stone yard. We've been on this plot for years, and the neighbors are all the same people we've known forever. It’s a community of stone workers, and we’re just one part of it, doing our daily bit to get by.
