Jai Mata Kota Stones is tucked into Plot No. 70/1/1. We are right in the middle of the Marble Market in Mangolpur Kalan. It’s a busy place to be, surrounded by other stone yards and people looking for materials. The noise of saws and trucks is just the background music for us every day. We’ve been in this market for quite a while, so we know most of the other shop owners around here. Our spot isn't the biggest, but we pack a lot into it. Kota stone is heavy and can be tricky to move around without chipping the edges, so we have to be careful. My nephew helps me out with the loading when the orders come in. We don’t really do much in terms of marketing or social media. Most of our work comes from people walking through the Mangolpur Kalan market and stopping at our gate. We keep a simple ledger and a desk in the corner. It's not air-conditioned or anything, just a practical space to do business. On dusty days, everything gets covered in a thin layer of gray, but that's just the life of a stone dealer. We try to stay organized, though sometimes the stacks of stone get a bit high. It’s just how Jai Mata Kota Stones operates. We’re here most days from morning until the sun goes down, just handling the stone and talking to customers.
