International Clearing & Shipping

We are located in the Alaknanda area. It’s a decent neighborhood, and we’ve been here long enough that people know where to find us. International Clearing & Shipping is mostly about the paperwork and the headache of customs. Our office is filled with stacks of documents because clearing things through the port requires a lot of stamps and signatures. We spend half our time here at the desks and the other half running around to different offices or the docks. It’s a lot of waiting in lines and talking to officials. Back at the office, the phones are usually ringing with people asking where their stuff is. We don't have a lot of fancy furniture, just what we need to get the job done. There’s always a stack of empty tea cups by the end of the day. The building is older, so the stairs creak, but we like the character of the place. We don't really do much advertising; most people find us because someone told them we could help with their shipping issues. It’s a lot of detail-oriented work, and if you miss one small thing, everything stops. So we spend a lot of time double-checking everything. It’s a bit stressful sometimes when a ship is coming in and the papers aren't ready, but we’ve gotten pretty good at handling the pressure over the years. We just keep our heads down and keep the files moving through the system every day.
