Himalaya Transport Company

Down at Ajmeri Gate 4637 things stay pretty crowded from morning until night. It is one of those parts of the city where you always hear horns honking and people shouting. Our transport company is right in the middle of all that action. The building is old and the stairs are a bit narrow but it has been our home for a long time. We deal with a lot of heavy lifting and managing the flow of goods through these busy streets. It takes a bit of patience to navigate the trucks in and out of this area because of the tight corners and the sheer amount of people walking around. Inside the office we have the usual stuff like desks piled with delivery receipts and a whiteboard that never seems to stay clean for long. We drink a lot of tea to stay focused through the long shifts. It is not the most glamorous job but it is what we know. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to work by the light from the windows until it comes back on. We know most of the other shop owners on this block and we look out for each other. If you come by you will see us shuffling papers or talking to customers on the phone. We just try to get the work done without making too much of a fuss about it. That is how life is here at Ajmeri Gate.
