Durge Marble

Down here in Shahdara, right at Plot No B-42 in East Jyoti Nagar, you will find our small spot. Durge Marble has been part of this neighborhood for a good bit. It’s not a huge operation, just a local yard where we keep our stock of stones and tiles. Usually, it's just a few of us here. We start early, usually before the traffic gets too bad on the main roads. The space is a bit tight sometimes because we try to keep enough variety for people living nearby. Residents from around East Jyoti Nagar often walk in just to see what’s available for their home renovations. We don’t do big flashy ads or anything. Most people find us just by driving past or hearing from a neighbor who bought something here last year. It can get a bit messy with all the stone cutting and moving, but we try to sweep up at the end of the day. If you stop by, don't expect a receptionist or a coffee machine. You’ll just find us working. We tell people what we have, show them the prices, and let them decide. There is no pressure. Sometimes the delivery truck is late because of the Shahdara traffic, which is frustrating, but we deal with it. It’s a regular life running a marble shop. We just keep going, one day at a time, making sure the inventory is where it should be.
