Our cafe is tucked away inside Hotel City Park, which is located in the Kp Block of Pitampura. Being part of the hotel means we see a lot of different faces, from people traveling for work to families staying for a few days. Pitampura is a busy part of Delhi, but once you come inside the hotel gates, things feel a little more contained. We spend our shifts making sure the coffee is ready and the tables are wiped down. The kitchen is small but we keep it busy from early morning until late. It is not a standalone shop on the street, so it has a different kind of vibe, more settled and a bit quieter than the main roads. We are just a team of people who like to keep things running smoothly. There is always a lot of laundry and cleaning to do because it is a hotel environment, and everything has to be kept up. We don't use any fancy marketing talk; we just focus on the orders and making sure the guests have what they need. Some days the lobby is full and we are running around, and other days it is just a few locals stopping by for a drink. It is a steady kind of life here in Kp Block. We have our routines and we stick to them, just making sure the cafe is a reliable spot for whoever is passing through Hotel City Park.
