You can find Alok Earthmovers at Shop Number 1413/37 in the Gurunanak Charitable Trust Market. We are right in the Kashmere Gate area, close to Nicholson Road. If you know that part of town, you know how crowded and hectic it can get. Our shop is packed tight with parts for heavy machinery and earthmovers. There’s barely enough room to move around sometimes because of all the stock we keep. We’ve been part of this market for a long time. It’s a noisy place with people shouting and horns honking all day long. We deal with a lot of different customers, from big contractors to small independent operators. Most of them are looking for a specific part that they can’t find anywhere else. We spend our time looking through catalogs or climbing up ladders to get things off the top shelves. It’s a dusty environment but that’s expected in a parts market like this. We don't have a fancy display window. People just come to the counter and tell us what they need. We don't do much in the way of promotion. The location at Kashmere Gate does the work for us. We try to keep our inventory organized, but in such a small shop, it’s always a challenge. It’s a busy, gritty way to work, but we enjoy being in the middle of the action near Nicholson Road. We have seen this area change over the decades but our corner stays mostly the same.
