Rex Enterprises (India)

You have to go up to the first floor to find Rex Enterprises (India). We are right in Ambey Market, which is usually a bit of a squeeze because of all the people and carts moving around. Being near Kaudia Pul means there is always noise from the traffic and the trains nearby. The office isn't very large. We have stacks of files on the desks and a few chairs for visitors that have seen better days. The light in the hallway is a bit dim, but once you step inside, we have big windows that look out over the market chaos. We deal with various goods and trading. It’s a lot of phone calls and checking ledgers. My brother usually handles the logistics while I talk to the people coming in. The stairs are narrow, so we have to be careful when we are bringing up samples or boxes. It’s an old building, but it has a lot of character. We’ve known the tea seller downstairs for years, and he brings up a tray every afternoon without us even asking. That is the nice thing about being in an old market like this. Everyone knows everyone else. We don’t do things the modern way with tablets and apps for everything. We like our pens and our paper notebooks. It’s how we’ve always done it and it works fine for us. It keeps us busy from morning till the market closes.
