Nuwood Industries

Anand Chowk is a noisy place, and Nuwood Industries is right in the middle of it at number 11. Most days start with the sound of motorcycles and rickshaws honking right outside. We’ve been operating from this spot for a long time, and the walls probably show it. There is always a layer of sawdust somewhere if you look close enough because that is just the nature of what we do here. It is a small space, but we manage to fit everything we need inside. The neighbors at the other shops are all familiar faces now. We usually open up around the same time every morning and stay until the sun starts going down. It’s not a corporate office with glass walls or anything like that. Instead, it is a practical workshop where things actually get made. Sometimes it gets a bit cramped when a big delivery comes in, and we have to move things around just to find a place to sit. Anand Chowk has a lot of energy, and being here keeps us on our toes. We don’t really do much advertising or anything fancy like that. Most people just know where we are. It’s a honest day's work, and we like being part of the local trade here. The floors are a bit uneven and the paint is peeling in a few spots, but it feels like home to us.
