Adventure Quests

Our office is tucked away at F-27 in the Race Course area of Dehradun. It is a small place where we spend most of our time planning trips and looking at maps. We started Adventure Quests because we just liked being outside and figured we could help other people get out there too. Dehradun is a good spot for this kind of thing, being so close to the hills. We do not have a massive team, just a few of us who know the local trails and the mountain roads pretty well. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other days it is quiet enough to hear the traffic outside. We try to keep things simple. If someone wants to go trekking or needs a guide for a weekend, we see what we can do. It is not always perfect—sometimes the weather ruins a plan or a bus gets delayed—but we deal with it as it comes. We are not a big travel agency with glossy brochures. Usually, it is just us writing things down in notebooks and making sure the gear is in good shape. People come by the office to talk about their plans, and we usually have a pot of tea going. It feels more like a hobby that turned into a job. We just like the mountains and want to make sure people have a decent time when they head up there without any unnecessary fuss or complicated procedures.
