Csc Jay Mahakal Farmer Producer Company Limited is located over in Surpura. It’s in the Ater area, specifically at Nathuram’s place. Most folks in the village just call it by the family name. We started this because the farmers around here needed a way to get things organized. It’s not a corporate setup by any means. It’s just a room where we keep our records and meet up when there’s stuff to discuss. Surpura is a small place, so news travels fast here. If there is a problem with the rain or a new way to handle the pests, this is where we talk it over. We don't have a big sign out front or anything flashy. Usually, someone is sitting outside, and you can just ask for Nathuram. The roads can be a bit dusty in the summer, but that’s just how it is in this part of the country. We deal with whatever the season brings us. Some days are slow, just filing papers and checking the lists. Other days, the whole porch is full of people. We don't have any fancy mission statements or anything like that. We just want to make sure the work gets done and the crops are looked after. It’s a lot of manual work and checking on the fields. That’s pretty much the whole story of our little group here in the Ater region.
