Udyan Tea

Udyan Tea is located in the Binda Jayanti Building. We are at 31 Sevoke Road under Ugp Ventures. It is a busy road. There is always traffic and horns honking. We have a space on the ground floor. It makes it easier for loading. We deal with tea mostly. The building is old and has that specific smell of concrete and age. We have a small desk near the window. Sometimes I watch the rain on Sevoke Road while I wait for clients. It pours hard here. We keep the tea bags in dry containers. Humidity is the enemy. We spend a lot of time checking the seals. My uncle helps with the inventory. He is very strict about it. We use a small light to look inside the sacks. It's a simple operation. We don't have a big staff. Just a few of us. We drink the tea we sell. It’s the only way to know what’s going on. Customers come in and we show them what we have. Most of them are local shopkeepers. They buy in bulk. We help them load their carts. It’s physical work. My back hurts by the end of the day. But that's just life. We've been in the Binda Jayanti Building for a good while. The neighbors are nice. We have a small kettle in the back for ourselves. We don't offer samples to drink, just the dry leaves to look at.
