Teesta Valley Exports Limited

Our office is located at 3 Netaji Subhas Road, right in Mcleod House. We are up on the second floor. It’s an old building in a part of the city that has a lot of history and character. You can feel the age of the place when you walk up the stairs every morning. We deal with exports, so there is always a lot of paperwork piled up on our desks. It’s not a modern glass office with new furniture; it’s more traditional with big wooden desks and lots of filing cabinets that have been here for decades. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking shipping documents for different orders. Dealing with tea from the Teesta Valley means we have to stay on top of the seasons and the harvests. It can be stressful when there are delays at the port or with the weather, but we’ve learned to take it in our stride. We don't have a marketing team to write pretty words or brochures for us. We just tell it like it is to anyone who asks. Most of us have been working in the tea industry for many years. It's what we know best. The office is often quiet, except for the sound of the old ceiling fans and the occasional tea tasting we do in the back room. We don't try to impress anyone with big titles or fancy talk.
