Sri Rathi Retail

Sri Rathi Retail is found in the Mangtu Ram Compound in Naya Bazar, which is part of Ward No-8. It’s a bit tucked away behind the Rajasthan Guest House and near the Rail Gate. Being in Darjeeling, the weather can be a bit damp, but we keep the shop dry and stocked up. We are basically a retail store that carries a variety of goods that people need for their homes. The compound is a busy place with a lot of different things going on. Our shop at No. 69/38 is often packed with crates and bags of stock that just arrived. We spend time sorting through items and putting them on the shelves so people can find what they want easily. It’s a very local vibe here, and we know a lot of the families who live nearby. The sound of the train near the Rail Gate is something we hear all day long. We don't have a big fancy website or anything like that. We just rely on people coming into the Naya Bazar area. It’s a lot of lifting and moving boxes around to keep everything organized in the small space we have. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when several deliveries come at once, but we manage to get through it. We’ve been part of this community for a while now, just running the retail side of things as best as we can. We just keep the shutters up and wait for the morning rush.
