Somsarovar Tea Private Limited is based up in Siliguri, specifically on Nehru Road in the Khalpara area. We are located at Shiv Kumar Agarwal’s place. It’s a busy spot because Siliguri is such a hub for the tea trade. We deal with tea leaves every day. It’s mostly manual work, like checking the bags that come in and making sure everything stays dry and fresh. The humidity can be a real problem around here, so we have to be careful. Our office isn't anything special to look at, just a practical space where we keep our records and manage the orders. You can usually hear the sounds of the street and the trucks outside while we work. We’ve been doing this for a while now and we know the routine. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and sometimes the dust from the tea leaves gets everywhere, but you get used to it. We just focus on getting the work done and making sure the right crates go to the right people. We don't have a big team of executives. It's just a few of us making sure the business keeps running smoothly. Some days are long, especially when a big shipment arrives from the gardens, but that’s just how the tea business is. We like being in Khalpara because everything we need is right here. It's a simple operation and we try to stay organized, even when things get a bit messy during the peak season.
