Mount Tea Sailors Private Limited

Our place is located on the first floor of Malti Niwas, which sits on Udham Singh Sarani in the Ashrampara area of Siliguri. It’s a nice enough spot, not too far from the main roads but tucked away enough that we can get our work done. We deal with tea, like so many others in this part of West Bengal. The office isn't anything special, just some sturdy desks, a few chairs, and lots of shelving for the tea containers. We have a small crew of people who help with the daily tasks. We spend a lot of our time checking the leaves that come in from the Darjeeling hills. The air in the office is usually thick with that fresh tea scent, especially when we open a new batch for inspection. We don't have a big marketing department or a fancy website. Most of our work comes from word of mouth and the relationships we’ve built over the years. It’s a practical business. We deal with the typical problems like power cuts or late deliveries, but we just take them in stride. Sometimes the rain lashes against the windows so hard we can barely hear each other talk, but we just keep on packing and sorting. We aren't trying to change the world; we just want to provide decent tea and keep the business running smoothly from our little office in Ashrampara. It’s a lot of work, but we like it.
