Mahabir Tea Centre

Mahabir Tea Centre is located on Burdwan Road. We are quite close to Jalpai More, which is a busy intersection here in the Darjeeling district. Everyone knows that this area is famous for tea, so we just try to do our part in the local market. The shop isn't anything special to look at from the outside, but we take care of it. Being near Jalpai More means we see a lot of people every day. Some are just passing through, and others have lived here their whole lives. We’ve been at this spot for quite a few years now. It’s a noisy street with lots of horns and people talking, but that’s just how it is on Burdwan Road. We don’t use any corporate language or have big meetings. It’s just us showing up in the morning and staying until the work is finished. We have our regulars who come in and we know them by name. That’s the nice thing about being in a place like this. The Darjeeling weather can be unpredictable, but the shop stays busy regardless. We don’t try to sell ourselves with big promises. We just have the tea there for whoever wants it. It’s a modest business and we are happy to keep it that way. If you’re around the More, you can’t miss us. We are just a small part of the big tea world here.
