Laptop Medico

You can find us over on Bimal Singha Sarani, quite close to the Dadabhai Hotel in Hakimpara. It’s a handy spot because everyone knows where the hotel is. The shop itself is usually full of laptops in various states of being taken apart. I’ve got screwdrivers and thermal paste all over my desk most days. It’s not the neatest place you’ll ever visit, but we know exactly where every component is. People from all over Hakimpara come to us when their screens crack or their keyboards stop working. We spend a lot of time diagnosing motherboards and trying to save old machines. It’s a bit like a hospital for electronics, which I guess is why we have the name. The air smells a bit like hot plastic and solder, which is just the way a repair shop should be. We don't have any fancy waiting room, just a couple of stools if you want to sit while we talk about the problem. It gets a bit loud when the traffic on the Sarani picks up, but we just keep working through it. I’ve been doing this for years, and I still enjoy the feeling of getting a dead laptop to beep back to life. We are just regular people trying to help out with tech problems. It’s a practical business, no frills, just hard work and a lot of patience with tiny screws.
