Lakhotia Computers is up on the first floor of the Vardhan SF Road Market. If you know the Khalpara area, you know how busy it gets around here throughout the week. We are located right near the Shani Mandir, so there is always a lot of activity and the sound of bells or people moving about on the street below. Opposite us is Chanda Mama, which is a good landmark for anyone trying to find the place for the first time. The market itself is an old building with narrow stairs that you have to climb. Once you get up to the first floor, it’s a bit quieter than the street level. We have computers and various bits of hardware scattered around the workspace. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes with all the wires and opened-up towers, but that’s just how we work. People from SF Road come in when their screens go dark or they need a part replaced. I’ve been working in this market for a while now, and you get used to the rhythm of the place. The light in the shop isn't the best, so we use desk lamps to see the small parts inside the machines. It’s a local spot where people bring their troubles, and we do what we can with the tools we have on hand. It’s not a corporate showroom, just a functional workshop right in the heart of Khalpara for anyone who needs it.
