Himalayan Travel Advisors is based out of Bloom Field Dali, a quiet spot that offers some of the best views of the hills. We aren't a big, impersonal travel company with a corporate office in a skyscraper. It’s just a small group of us who have lived in these mountains our whole lives. We spend our days in a modest office, usually with a pot of tea on the stove, planning trips for people who want to see the real side of the Himalayas. The weather here in Dali can change in a heartbeat, so we spend a lot of time checking on the conditions of the roads and trails. We don't have any glossy brochures or polished sales pitches. We just tell people the truth about what to expect when they head up into the higher altitudes. We know the local guest house owners and the drivers by name because they are our friends and neighbors. If you’re looking for a luxury tour with everything scripted, that’s not really what we do. We prefer the kind of travel that’s a bit more authentic and unpredictable. We focus on the details that matter, like which routes are safe and where the best tea stops are. It’s a simple way of working, but we think it’s the best way to help people enjoy the mountains we call home.
