Gunratna Tea Plantation Private Limited

We’re over here at Gunratna Tea Plantation. You’ll find our office on the third floor of Orchid Square, right on S.F. Road in Siliguri. It’s a busy spot, but the tea gardens are where most of the actual work happens. Being in the Siliguri-Darjeeling area, we deal with the weather shifts a lot. Some days are perfect for the plants, and other days we’re just hoping for the rain to let up or start. It’s not fancy work. Most of us have been around tea for a long time, so we just get on with what needs doing. We spend a lot of time checking the leaves and making sure the transport is moving like it should. The hills are beautiful, sure, but it’s a lot of manual labor and tracking the seasons. Sometimes the roads up here get messy, which makes moving things around a bit of a headache. We keep our paperwork and meetings in the Siliguri office because it’s easier to meet people there than out in the fields. It’s just a small group of us keeping things running. We don't have any big speeches to give. We just grow tea and try to keep the quality where it needs to be for the people who buy it from us. It's just a regular day-to-day operation where we focus on the plants and the harvest times. That's pretty much what goes on here.
