Dream Computer

If you’re walking down Sevoke Road in Darjeeling district, you’ll see Nanak Tower. We are up on the second floor. It’s a busy road, always full of cars and people moving toward the hills. Dream Computer has been here for a bit. We don't have a big flashy sign outside, but people find us. It’s mostly about computers here—selling them, fixing them, or just helping someone figure out why their screen went dark. The second floor stays a bit cooler than the street level, which is nice in the summer. We have stacks of boxes around and sometimes the floor is a bit dusty from all the foot traffic. We aren't some big chain store. It's just a local shop where we know most of the people who walk in. Some are students, some are business owners from the tower. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. If a computer is broken, we try to see if it's worth fixing. We spend our days looking at screens and talking to customers about what they need. The view of the traffic from the window is something else, especially when it rains. We just keep things moving, one repair at a time. It’s not a complicated business model. We open the shutters in the morning, do the work, and go home. That's the way it's always been since we started.
